Story behind the piece:
“My friend and I set out before dawn to scout one of our favorite lakes for wild ice skating. As the sun begins to rise above the horizon, we decide to check a section of the lake. Unfortunately, we discover that we wouldn’t be able to skate there, as the ice had broken up and refrozen into ice pancakes. While walking back to the truck, we look up at the mountains and saw the moon setting towards the mountain peak. Excitedly, we rush back to the car, grab our gear, and set up to capture the anticipated shot of the moon over the summit. Luckily, the moon positions itself perfectly above the mountain peak.”
